Luthor Bane was discovered in an iceberg in October 1984, while his father (an esteemed Royal Naval Engineer of Great Renown) and his wife (a brilliant but under-appreciated Seeker of Truth) were on a routine patrol of the Falkland Islands following 1982's little disagreement with Argentina over the ownership of said realm. Upon the discovery of a strange humanoid in the iceberg, they thawed it out. That night, in a bizarre laboratory accident, DNA from both parties was introduced to the form, which assimilated the genetic code and began to alter itself to suit the new information, quickly becoming a form that was the reault of both genetic strands and yet was an individual. Now indistinguishable from an ordinary human child, the boy (for such it was) was released to its parents (for such they now were, more or less), and all record of its origin expunged lest outside scrutiny judge those involved to be mad and delusional.

The child has since become a man, a real man, with hair and brains and teeth and ideas and whatnot. It studies as an artist, and dabbles with other things on the side. But some fearful souls huddle in the dark and speculate in hushed tones at what this being really is, and what mark it is destined to leave on the world...
